What Do You do When Your Man turns in to a monster?
SUPPORT THE MAN MONSTER
About the Man monster
Lance and Renae have been married for four years. Renae believed Lance to be the love of her life and that they would be together forever. When Renae met Lance, she believed he was sent by God. He was encouraging, supportive, loving and everything she had prayed for. Together, she believed they could conquer anything. Low and behold, she was not prepared for the cycles of abuse that would surface shortly after committing her life to him. When Lance is accused of committing sexual harassment and stepping outside of their marriage, Renae, being the ever-faithful wife, refuses to believe it and continues to trust God to fix her marriage.
On the outside looking in, you would never suspect Lance to be the monster that he is behind closed doors. Oblivious to her father’s abusive behavior, their daughter Ciara, believes her daddy can do no wrong. She is of course, “daddy’s little girl” and her dad would never put his hands on her. Ciara insists that Renae must be doing something wrong. “Stop making daddy mad.” Ciara says often to her mom.
The Man Monster Gospel Comedy Musical Stage Play is full of twists, drama, love, and laughter; with a message designed to help bring awareness to domestic violence, sexual harassment and issues that could arise with teen dating. It inspires hope and a reality of sisterhood.
